Our Passport office will resume accepting applications for passports effective Tuesday, October 6, 2020 by appointment only. Only two applicants are allowed in the office at a time and masks must be worn. Families with more than 2 family members are allowed in the office together.
Our Passport office is located at 415 Goode St. Please call 985-868-7113 for an appointment. Appointments are accepted from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Indexing Department is located in the basement of the Clerk of Court’s Office.

The Indexing Department is responsible for the indexing of all documents recorded in the Clerk of Court’s Office, including all Conveyance, Mortgage, and other miscellaneous documents.
All original documents are sent to the Indexing Department where they are checked for accuracy and indexed. The documents are then sent to the Map Department for binding.
The Indexing Department is also responsible for maintaining and keeping current the printed Indicies for public viewing.
